CAD Objectives

Defend our rights as first class citizens.

Preserve American Sign Language (ASL) as its natural language and promote the inclusion of ASL as part of a bilingual approach in homes, schools, and communities, serving infants to post-secondary students with hearing loss.

Advocate for all CT Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals, regardless of age, in securing appropriate and accessible services.

Promote leadership and training opportunities for Deaf and Hard of Hearing youths through the Jr. CAD, Here Hear Hartford, and other programs.

Keep Deaf and Hard of Hearing citizens updated on all related issues.
